No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara

I just wanted to do a little rave post about this mascara by No7. Quiet simply it's AMAZING!  I purchased this mascara a few months ago on a bit of a impulse. All the mascara's i have already i'm really fed up of using,  i always tend to always go for the plastic brushes even though i don't necessarly get on well with them! I just wasn't getting the lashes i longed for!

A few months ago boots were giving out £5 No7 vouchers with puchases over £5. I had my fair collection of vouchers as i'm ALWAYS in boots! So while i was looking around the No7 make up stand i came across this masara and i'm SO glad i did! What drew me to it was the NEW sticker on the bottle and the fact that it was called Exquisite Curl mascara! I'm always longing for my lashes to have a lovely curl and had yet to find a masara that could meet my curl needs! The mascara comes in two colours, black and black/brown.

Anyway to cut the story short i LOVE the mascara! I couldn't rate it enough! I use it everyday and only put on one coat and it gives me the blackness and curl that i was so longing for from a mascara but could never find!! I use it on a daily basis, just popping out of the house or going to work ect. However if i'm going out in the evening or out for a speical occassion i tend to use Rimmel Day- 2- Night masara as it just goes on a bit thicker and gives my lases the extra length i need for an evening out.

I was getting to the end of my No.7 mascara before Christmas but was trying SO hard to make it last till after Christmas as i had some Christmas money. I'm SO glad i waited as i went in the other day and purchased a few items of their 50% sale ( I'll do a little post about what i brought this week ) and because i spend over £5 the lady gave me a No.7 £5 voucher! I have to say i was well chuffed! I went straight over to the No.7 counter at the front of the store and picked up another bottle of the mascara! I debated about what colour to get as they also sell it in a brown/black but ended up sticking to the black to be on the safe side! I have to say i'm LOVING the new bottle of mascara i was so excited to use it the following day and it's defiantly living up to the standards i was expecting! I have to admit this is the first time i've EVER repurchased a mascara so that should show in it's self how good it actually is! Another reason to go out and get this mascara is at the moment they are throwing in their rose quad palette when you buy any No.7 mascara. The women did say to me the palette is a promotion so once they sell out of the palette's that's it they won't get any more there was a few left in my local store so i was lucky! The palette is great and it includes four metallic pigmented eye shadows that could be used for evening and daytime looks!

If you have any picked up any No.7 £5 vouchers i'd suggest popping into your local boots and having a little look at the No.7 mascaras!

Christmas Goodies.

Just a LITTLE post with a few pictures of what i got for Christmas. As always Christmas day goes past like a flash! I was woken by my little sister at 6.30am as she realised santa had come to see her and left her some presents! She was SUPER excited! We all opened our presents and then had some breakfast and got ready. For Christmas i always DRESS up! This year i wore a dark red skater dress with a thin black belt. I painted my nails with Barry M gold foil nail polish and finished off with simple dots and stripes. I also put one gold leopard print nail foil on one of my fingers to add a bit of bling! Before the family came over i had a quick half hour nap and they arrived for 11.30am. We had a LOVELY roast dinner and then all retired to the lounge for a 20 minute nap! TWO naps in one day! I really was been LAZY! My grandma then put the Queen's Speech on at 3pm and we all sat down and watched that and then i drove over to my boyfriends house for my second Christmas! We opened presents together and then played a few family games and finished the evening watching The Hangover Part II & The Inbetweeners Movie. All in all it was a LOVELY Christmas it's just a shame it always goes to QUICKLY!

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas & Santa brought you all that you wanted!

How to make your army of gingerbread men.

So yesterday i decided to get my BAKE on! As christmas is fastly approaching i decided to make an army of GINGERBREAD MEN. I always associate gingerbread men with christmas so i felt it was an appropriate thing to bake. I have to admit i am a bit of a cheat and have previously brought a box of gingerbread men from Tesco's with the icing and smarties and have decorated them myself! *blushes*
I wouldn't say i'm the best at baking or cooking to be honest and i don't normally adventure much further from boxed cake mixtures but yesterday was different!

I decided to have a look online for a EASY gingerbread man recipe and found hundreds! I decided to stick with this one from the BBC Good Food website it was simple and i had all the ingredients apart from a few things that i decided was optional not to add in! The website suggested that it makes 12 big gingerbread men but i managed to make 15 with my cutter!

So to make your army of gingerbread men you will need :

♥ 140g unsalted butter

♥ 100g of dark muscovado sugar

♥ 3 tablespoons of golden syrup

♥ 350g of plain flour

♥ 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda

♥ 2 teaspoons of ground ginger

♥ 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon ( I didn't have this in the cupboard so decided to leave it out! )

♥ An optional pinch of cayenne pepper ( I also didn't have this so decided to leave it out and it did say optional! )

♥ 2 balls of stem ginger ( I also didn't have this so decided to leave it out! )

Once you have all of the ingredients you're ready to get your BAKE on!

♥ Firstly you will need to preheat your oven to 200c and line 2 baking trays ready for all your men to bake on.

♥ You will then need to melt the butter, sugar and syrup in a pan and leave to cool down while move onto the next step.

♥ You then need to mix the flour, bicarbonate of soda, ginger and a pinch of salt ( I also didn't put the pinch of salt in! ) in a bowl together.

♥  You then will need to take the butter, sugar and syrup that you have just melted and mix it into the flour, soda and ginger.

♥  The mixture may still be hot from the melted butter, sugar and syrup so you will need to wait till it is cool enough to handle and then roll out the dough and start pressing out your gingerbread men!

♥ Once you have pressed out your army of gingerbread men put them in the oven to bake, i put mine on for 12 minutes and they came out a beautiful golden colour.

♥ Leave for about 10 minutes to cool down and then here comes the fun bit! ICING & DECORATING

I'll leave the icing bit up to you as you will know how you want your gingerbread men or women to look like! I decided that mine should be all gingerbread men as they all looked manly and strong coming out of the oven! I used a tube of white icing sugar to decorate their faces and to put three buttons on them. I also had little sliver balls for their eyes and smarties and pink balls for their buttons!

Once they were all decorated i handed them all out to my family to try one and they all said how lovely they were! My little sister isn't a massive fan of gingerbread men but she ate one and said that they were very tasty! I thought they tasted lovely and they weren't hard to make at all! I'd strongly suggest making some if you have a spare half an hour! I may even make another army of gingerbread men and bring them
into work towards the end of the week!

Let me know if you try this simple recipe out. I'd love to hear how they turn out!

Why don't you add a bit of glitter to your life...

CHRISTMAS & GLITTER goes hand in hand! I ALWAYS get so excited every year to try out different nail polishes during December as it's definitely deemed acceptable to cover your nails in glitter!

This year i've splashed out on a few different bottles of glitter nail polishes! I've picked up Barry M Red Glitter number 150. I brought it as soon as i saw it! I've had it a few months and have been saving it for the festive season! I'm really glad i brought it when i did because every time i go into my local boots stores it's always sold out. I've had a look on the Barry M website and they have so many different glitter polishes that just aren't stocked in my local Boots or Superdrug stores which is a shame because i LOVE Green Glitter Number 298.

I also have a an OPI nail polish which is my ALL time favourite but i've used it so often i really need to replace it but i've had it for so long i don't think they sell it! I'm still after OPI rainbow connection which was brought out for the muppets movie! I've tried SO many places! It's proving impossible to get my hands on! I went to Birmingham a few weeks ago and tried Selfridges and they didn't have it and i've tried my local Sally's Store but they didn't have it either! Where i live there isn't many stores that stock OPI nail polish which is such a shame because they are so good! I would order it online but i get so IMPATIENT waiting for things to come through the post!

I also have purchased a ELF glitter polish called Golden Goddess. I have to admit i'm slightly disappointed with this nail polish. On the website it looks like a really opaque gold glitter and i thought perfect for £1.50 and put it straight in my shopping bag but when it was delivered it was far from opaque it was like a clear nail polish with glitter specks in. To be honest i haven't used it at all which is a shame because i was really excited to get it! The only way i would use it would be over a colour nailed polish to add a bit of sparkle.

I have also subscribed to Glossybox and this month i was EXTRA excited about as it had a glitter nail polish in! The nail polish is a BEAUTIFUL glitter purple by Deborah Lippmann. It retails at £16 which i feel is slightly pricey and i just couldn't justify spending £16 on a nail polish as i buy so many different polishes so often! I don't think i would have picked up this colour if it was in my local boots store as i never really go for purples as i feel i'm more of a nude gal! When i put this colour on i was pleasantly SURPRISED! I LOVED it! I got SO many compliments from my work friends but also from customers who came in to buy tickets!

I have painted my toe nails all ready for tomorrow with Barry M Glitter Red 150 which is the nicest red i've had in a LONG time! It just SHOUTS christmas to me! It's just a shame that no one is really going to see my pretty toe nails as my feet are always so COLD! I'm going to paint my finger nails tonight when i get home from work and i'm still deciding what colour to go for but i'm definitely leaning towards the Barry M Glitter Red!

I HOPE you all have a LOVELY christmas and santa get you everything you have asked for!

♥ you all!

Shopping Haul - Forever 21

So the weekend just gone i took a trip up to BIRMINGHAM! It was the FIRST time i had gone shopping in Birmingham as it's not the closest to me so i was VERY excited! I've heard by SO many people how good the shopping was there even my Grandma had told me how good it was! I decided to take the train up there for the day as we all thought driving would just be a nightmare especially as we haven't gone there before but also finding somewhere to park with christmas coming can be a pain even in my small town!  The train journey was LONG it took about two hours and it was such a busy train as it was a cross country service. Thankfully we thought in advance and booked our tickets which made it cheaper but also it guaranteed us all a seat on the train. I get such satisfaction saying "excuse me your actually in my seat! " and most people are like oh ok i'm really sorry! Then they have to go and walk down the whole train to find another free seat! SUCCESS!

When we finally got there around 10.30am i headed straight to the Bullring Shopping Centre it was MASSIVE! As soon as i walked through the doors i found FOREVER 21 i was SO excited i was practically jumping for joy! I have sent my dad with a LONG list a few times when he goes to New York  with his job but to actually go to a Forever 21 store was SO exciting! ( Is it sad that i get so excited about shopping? ) It was MASSIVE! In fact it was THREE storeys high MASSIVE! I was in my absolute element! Though i don't think my boyfriend enjoyed me going around the shop like three times! We were in there for ages! I think i was fairly restrained as the whole time I kept reminding myself that need to finish off my Christmas shopping and that i shouldn't be shopping for myself!

Here's a few pictures of what i picked up! I did get a few other bits but my boyfriend brought them for me as Christmas pressies so i'm not allowed them for another week and a bit!

Has anyone else took a trip to a Forever 21 store? At the moment there is only a store in the Bullring Shopping Centre in Birmingham and another store in London on Oxford Street but i'd definitely say it's worth a visit as they have something for everyone!

TWENTY ONE ♥

This week brought my TWENTY FIRST birthday and to say I was excited was an understatement! I had a few days off work towards the end of the week so my last day at work was on Wednesday and when I came in they had the Box Office all decorated with banners and I brought cakes in so it was like a party all day! About 3 o'clock when people started to finish for the day I was brought in a bag full of presents from everyone and a massive 21 balloon! It was such a  LOVELY surprise! They brought me a Topshop voucher, a bottle of champagne, a twenty one glass and key (it's tradition apparently!) also ages ago we were all looking on the internet for my managers birthday present and I saw the cutest necklace stand and I mentioned this months ago and they remembered and brought that  for me too! It was such a lovely way to start my birthday!!

So on my actual birthday (Thursday) it was pretty relaxed. I woke up to SO many presents! My parents brought me a car during the year for an early birthday present when I passed my test but they also brought me a Michael Kors watch and a twenty one charm for my Pandora bracelet which was such a LOVELY suprise! My sister also brought me another charm, a tortoise. I have a pet tortoise ( His name is Arnie ) and they have to be my absolute favourite animal (reptile.) My boyfriend brought my a ring from the website Daisy a bottle of benefit Ring my Bella Perfume, some Bodyshop body butters and smellies, and a bottle of Liz Earle Toner! I also got money and vouchers from friends and family which was lovely!

It was down to me what I wanted to do during the day and all I wanted to do was to go shopping! We decided on Guildford, my boyfriend goes to University there and he had mentioned that the shopping centre had all been re done and there were a few new shops so he sold it to me! We went there and had a look around and I brought myself a few presents with my birthday money! Then we went for a Nandos for lunch! It was my first Nando's that i had in months and I ate until I felt SICK!!

We then went back home and when we got back my dad came and said there was a box for me on the table so I went in and opened it and it was a cake from CHOCCYWOCCYDOODAH in Brighton! I couldn't believe it!! I'm a fan of the show and every time I watch it it always leaves me amazed at how beautiful the cakes are but also how tasty they look! It was a milk chocolate and dark chocolate cake with a thick white chocolate heart on the top that said HAPPY 21st BECKI.  I have to say the cake was the nicest cake I have EVER tasted!! It was so thick chocolate me and my dad couldn't actually cut the cake! He managed to in the end but it broke into a few pieces!

In the afternoon I went back to my boyfriends house to see his parents & sister to say thank you for my presents. We just watched telly and chilled out. In the late afternoon we went back to my house and my little sister brought me a ticket for my birthday to her nativity play so we went to that in the evening which was so CUTE!!

I've put a few pictures below of my day and some of the presents i got given! I had such a LOVELY day! It was so perfect! I've got a few blog post ideas coming up so stay tuned!

Statement Clothing Item - Topshop Faux Leather Panel Legging

I was in my local Topshop today and  FINALLY they had restocked their Faux Leather Panel Leggings (£28) and had my size! I was SO chuffed! Obviously i couldn't leave Topshop with just the leggings and brought what is described on the website as a Oversize Half Sleeve Top (£16) to go with the leggings. I decided the outfit was PERFECT for my birthday this week and the shopping trip i'm taking to Birmingham on Saturday! I wanted something a bit different as i'm ALWAYS wearing jeans and just plain black leggings to work. I thought with the Faux leather panels down the side would give the outfit a bit of a edgy look.

Has anyone else purchased these leather panel leggings from Topshop or the Oversize top? What do you think of them? I'd LOVE to hear what your statement item is in your wardrobe?!

Product Review: Tea Tree Toner Tab

I'm ALWAYS willing to try out different face products especially from LUSH! I was looking around my local store in town and came across these little Tea Tree Toner Tab and for 75p i thought i'd give it a try! The women came over and explained how to use it and it was really simple! She said it was to be used on problem skin and that the tea tree would help calm the redness around spots. At the moment i have a few spots on my forehead which is a bit annoying especially on the week of my BIRTHDAY! WAH!

I have to admit my skin is so much better lately but i don't want to speak to QUICKLY! I wouldn't say i have acne but i definitely have had my fair share of spots! I've been to my doctor a number of times and he's given me all different creams and solutions to try and none of them have ever been the miracle spot cure i'm searching for but lately i'm taking antibiotics and am on them for the next three months and my skin is definitely calming down!

I've just tried out the Tea Tree Toner Tab and it was really easy to use! I was VERY impressed! I took all my make up off , cleansed my face and then came down and boiled the kettle. Once the kettle was boiled i poured the hot water into a bowl and dropped in the toner tab and left it until it stopped fizzing! I then got a towel and put my face over the hot water for about 10 minutes. I LOVE the smell of Tea Tree and found the 10 minutes really relaxing! When the 10 minutes were up i poured the solution down the sink and had a look in the mirror. My face was initially red from the heat but now it looks ok. I'm just going to wait and see what it's like tomorrow to see if my spots look less red and more calmer! The women in Lush did mention i could wait for the toner to cool down and store it in a little travel bottle and use the solution as a toner for the next week but i already have a no.7 toner that i use daily and i didn't really know how i felt about using it for the next week.  I'm a bit worried that it might break me out as my skin isn't use to having Tea Tree smothered all over it! I also though that 75p isn't really bank breaking so i would just repurchase it as a treat in a few weeks.

I think it's definitely worth purchasing one of these toner tabs as a TREAT!  I found the 10 minutes very relaxing and nice just to sit back and have a little think! For 75p you can't really go wrong especially if your skin is spot prone like mine. Hopefully i'll wake up tomorrow and my skin will be calmer and less red! I'll let you know!

I'd love to hear if there is anything you suggest trying from Lush for problem skin! Has anyone else tried this toner and what did you think of it?

Hello December!

Well i CAN'T believe i'm actually typing this but DECEMBER is finally upon us! It has to be my favourite month of the year not only is it the month of CHRISTMAS it is also the month of my BIRTHDAY!  This year i'm going to be the TWENTY - ONE! Well a week today to be exact! (I'm sure you can tell how excited i am about it!)  I also love the fact that everyday in December you get to eat a chocolate everyday on the countdown to Christmas! This year i've got a really cute Hello Kitty advent calendar and i couldn't wait to eat my number one chocolate this morning! I have to admit there is nothing BETTER than advent chocolate it just tastes SO nice! This year has gone so so fast! Everyone at my job is telling me the older you get the quicker the year goes and i'm starting to believe them!

I'm SUPER excited because tonight we are putting up the Christmas tree and all the decorations around the house! I know some people may say that it's a bit early to be putting up all the decorations 25 days before Christmas Day but our family LOVE christmas! I had to admit though that my dad isn't a big fan of the decorations going up this early but i think it's a man thing! I'm yet to meet a guy that get SUPER excited about Christmas like me!

I've pretty much finished ALL of my Christmas shopping, i've just got to get my boyfriend his present and i'm DONE! I think this year i'm a lot more organised and planned what i was buying everyone before i went to town. I made the mistake last year of not making a list and ended up buying so many little things for people when i saw them it was ridiculous! It took me SO long to get all my christmas presents and i was even shopping before i went to work on CHRISTMAS EVE as soon as the shops opened at 8am! It was a NIGHTMARE!

Hope this post was a bit interesting to some of you! I'm just SUPER excited about CHRISTMAS this year! Have you started or finished your christmas shopping yet?

Benefit Brow Bar Experience

I was in town today and popped into Debenhams to have a look around as they had MASSIVE signs outside advertising certain products that were priced at DUTY FREE PRICES! Naturally i was automatically drawn to go in and have a look around! I picked up some Fake Bake gradual tan as i had just ran out of St. Tropaz so i decided to try something a bit different! What made it more appealable was that it reduced from £35.00 down to £17.50 and came with a Fake Bake scrub that i can't wait to try!

I was looking around at the make up counters and saw that Benefit offered a brow bar service. This is the first time i've noticed this at the Benefit counter where i live as the Debenhams isn't one of the biggest stores i've been too. I NEVER go and get my eye brows done by a professional, i always TWEEZE them myself! I've watched many YouTube video's and learnt how to get the " PEFECT " brow! I always worry that if i go to a salon that they will wax them and make them super thin like worms and i'll be left having to draw them on for months and months! I'm SUCH a worrier!

I decided to bite the bullet today and went over to the lady and asked if she could fit me in! ( I did check her eye brows out as if they weren't that nice i was going to think of an excuse and come back another time! Thankfully her eye brows were perfect so i had faith in her!) I was looking at the menu and saw they offer a brow tint as well so i asked for that too as i use the Benefit Brow Zing daily and thought i'd see what it would be like to have my brows tinted for a change. The lady was REALLY nice and REALLY helpful as i would have considered myself a bit of a BROW VIRGIN when it comes to tinting and waxing! She advised me on the right colour and we decided to just go for a mid brown.  She put it all over my eye brows and i have to admit i felt like such a idiot especially sitting in a busy department store with brown tint smothered all over my brows! I'm sure people were staring at me oddly! She left the tint on for two minutes then took it off of one of my brows and asked if the colour was ok and it was perfect! My brows seemed SO much more natural looking and they looked much more filled in! I spend about 10 minutes tired eyed every morning trying to achieve this look with the Benefit Brow Zing! I'm now hoping that i can cut a few minutes off my make up time in the morning and have the few extra minutes in bed!

She then went on to wax my brows, this was the bit i was a bit more anxious about. All i could think about was it going wrong and her waxing off to much and then having to pretend in a really high pitch voice how lovely they look when deep down all i want to do is cry! Thankfully this scenario never happened!  She just waxed the tiniest bit off the top and then tided the arch up. She was really gentle and it didn't hurt at all!   I even booked in to get it done again just before xmas, i'm not sure if that is going to be to soon but she said i can always call or pop in and cancel!  It wasn't expensive at all, well not that i know the going price for a brow wax and tint but to have it done all together was £18.00. They also give you a stamp card so if you visit seven times you get the eightieth wax free! If you need a bit of a treat i'd defiantly suggest popping to your local Benefit Brow Bar!

Has anyone else popped to their local Benefit Brow Bar? I'd love to hear below how you found the experience!

Venomous Villains

I thought i'd do a little haul post of what i brought today. It wasn't a lot but i thought i picked up TWO bargains! I went to Bicester Village today in Oxford which is a massive outlet village with tons of different designer shops. I only get excited about a few shops there as i'm not MADE of money like half the people there with all their designer shopping bags! My first stop was The Cosmetic Store, i do tend to get VERY excited about this shop as it sells a few different make up brands such as Clinque and Mac to name a few and then sells tons of different perfumes and because it's an outlet village it's CHEAPER! Many of the items in the outlet stores tend to be end of line collections or last seasons but when it comes to make up i wouldn't know what was last seasons blusher and what wasn't!

So i headed straight to the MAC section at the back of the shop and came across the most BEAUTIFUL blusher from the Venomous Villains collection which was inspired by some of Disney's most famous villains. I'm sure that it was brought out for a limited edition collection last year some time as i remember hearing about it. Anyway so i finally got my hands on the BRAIR ROSE BLUSH and it was a BARGAIN at £14.50! ( It's the light swatch on the top of my hand in the photo below.) I must say it's the NICEST blush i've brought in a LONG time! It's such a lovely pinky colour and it's got the cream powder feel to it. (If that makes sense ) PLUS the packaging is SO cute! If you can get your hands on one i'd definitely recommend purchasing!

I also spotted a Mac lipstick that i just NEEDED to have in my collection! It's from the Pro Longwear collection and it's called OVERTIME and it's such a LOVELY shade of baby pink! ( It's the bottom swatch on my hand in the photo below.) I have to admit i mainly go for nudes when it comes to lipsticks as i like subtle colours on my lips but this pink is SO nice and couldn't be left behind for £10! I even picked one up my sister as part of her Christmas Pressie! It's definitely a statement lip colour that is going to be warn on days i want to stand out! I haven't tried any of the lipsticks from the Pro Longwear collection so i'm really excited to try it and see if it stays on for a bit longer.

Has anyone ever visited Bicester Village in Oxford? Or has anyone picked any make up bargains in any outlet stores? I'd LOVE to hear below if there's any places i need to take a trip too!

Product Review-TRESemme Split Remedy Serum

Recently when i was in my local Boots store ( as always! ) i came across the TRESemme Split End Collection and was instantly drawn to ALL of the products as i'm always SO conscious about having split ends and the condition of my hair. I always tell myself that i don't treat my hair to bad, well as bad as i use to anyway. I use to ALWAYS straighten my hair EVERYDAY and if it wasn't poker straight then i'd go over and over it until it was! Over the past year i've been A LOT more relaxed with my hair and embracing my natural curl kink much more and trying not to use heat appliances as much. I only really use my straighteners, hair dryer or curling wand on SPECIAL OCCASIONS.

Anyway when i was in Boots they had a promotion on the whole Spilt End Collection including their new shampoo & condition collection but as i already had stocked up on my favourite shampoo and condition ( Dove nutritive therapy nourishing oil care shampoo & condition) i decided to give the TRESemme split end shampoo & condition a miss but was drawn to purchasing the TRESemme Split End Serum Remedy. When i purchased it about a month ago it was around £5 for 30ml which i don't think is TO pricey.

I've been using the TRESemme Split End Serum for around three weeks now. I use it every few days after i wash my hair and focus it on the ends of my hair. I use two pumps into the centre of my palm, rub it together and put it through my spilt ends. I have to admit that the product was a bit STICKY at first and i was a bit concerned that it wouldn't dry in and that it would look like i have product just at the end of my hair but once it dried it in it looked fine! It has a LOVELY fruity smell that lasts until i next wash my hair which can sometimes be for a good few days!

MY VERDICT I have to admit after using the product that i'm not overly impressed and i wouldn't be purchasing it again. I'm not sure if i set my expectation too high but they were defiantly not met! Looking at my hair at a glance it looks OK and you can't really notice the split ends as much but when i had a closer look you could still notice that they hadn't disappeared or resealed the ends like promised! I think that the product is just a temporary measure to reduce the appearance of spilt ends but it defiantly doesn't mend them as promised!

Has anyone else used any of the TRESemme Split End Collection? How have you found it?

Nails Inc £5 magnetic manicure Offer!

Thought i'd share this beauty of a promotion with you all! I found out about it as i was doing my weekly look on the Martin Lewis website. At the moment if you go to your local Nails Inc counter and mention "£5 MAGNETIC MANICURE OFFER" you can get a mini magnetic manicure which is apparently suppose to cost £17.50 and last about 10 minutes for just £5! BARGAIN! The offer expires on SUNDAY 11TH DECEMBER  so you all have plenty of time to take full advantage of it! I think it's such a good offer and defiantly one that can't be missed. I think it's the perfect opportunity to see what the Nails Inc Magnetic nail polish is like as well. I previously posted about the 17 magnetic nail polish and i wasn't a big lover of it so this is defiantly a chance to see if the Nails Inc version is any better!

I'd LOVE to hear if any of you are going to take full advantage of this offer!

Product Review- Boots Expert Product Build Up Shampoo

PRODUCT BUILD UP! I find that me and my hair have a battle every few months which is down to product build up. I wash my hair every few evenings  (at the moment i'm using Dove nourishing oil care shampoo & condition which i highly recommend! After EVERY wash it leaves my hair so shiny and healthy! If you haven't already tried it i would defiantly say go and purchase the two when you next need shampoo & conditioner. At the moment they are doing a promotion on the Dove Facebook Page if you like the page you can request a free sample so you can try before you buy! ) i also use dry shampoo ( Batiste Blush ) every morning in between washes. After i wash my hair i alternate between different products TRESemme Split End Remedy, VO5's Miracle Concentrate, Moroccan Oil, if i'm straightening my hair i will use  L'Oreal Paris Studio Straight spray along with John Frieda 3 Day Straight Spray so i use many different products in my hair after washing.

All these products defiantly cause a build up in my hair every few months, when this happened i would normally just wash my hair in shampoo twice, then condition the ends and then not use any products for a few days until i re-wash and then it wouldn't look so dull and not shiny BUT the worse thing i find about product build up is that i would wash my hair normally let it dry and look in the mirror and it would look SO greasy like i hadn't washed it in about a week!  SO ANNOYING!

So i was in my local Boots the other day and had time to spare before work so i had a look around and came across the Boots Expert Product Build Up Shampoo for £3.49 i thought it was worth a try! I got home from work that night and washed my hair with the shampoo and then used the Dove conditioner and put in a few products after and left my hair to dry. When my hair had dried it just looked SO clean! It was shiny, soft and just looked so HEALTHY! I've decided to defiantly keep this product handy so every month i'm going to use this shampoo just to get rid of all the product build up that is left in my hair even after i use normal shampoo.

I'm not sure what makes this shampoo so different to any other brand but what ever is in the shampoo it works wonders! I would defiantly go out and purchase this shampoo if you suffer from product build up!

Just thought i'd do a QUICK post telling you all you have to go out and buy Glamour Magazine this month! It came out Wednesday and has Kirsten Steward on the front cover but it comes with a nails inc polish freebie! The magazine is £2 and the nail polish is a FULL SIZED bottle which retails at arround £11 this ia a complete bargain that can't be missed especially you NAIL POLISH LOVERS like me!

They have four different colours to choose from. There is a Tate (which is a red colour), Victoria (which is a deeper red) , Pidically circus (which is a plum colour ) and Basil Street (which is a lovely beige).
I've accumulated a fair few nails inc polishes over the past year and already have a two reds so i brought the plum and the beige (which I love). I'm loving the beige slightly more as I feel that beige is a nail colour that goes with EVERYTHING and is perfect if you don't want a nail polish colour that is in your face!

So if you haven't already gone out and brought Glamour magazine this month go and buy it to get your freebie!!

High Heels, High hopes.

HIGH HEELS AND HIGH HOPES

I thought this was a good title for this post. Lately i've well been a bit unsettled with my job and let me explain why. In September i went back to University to study for a BA Hons in Photography but wasn't enjoying it so decided to give up my place and work more at my part time job. I currently work at the theatre in my home town as a Box Office Assistant. I'm working around 25-28 hours a week which is ok and the pay is really good for the job. I basically just sell tickets to people either over the counter, on the phone, complete online bookings and do a few other little jobs as well. I've been working at the theatre for four years, i started when i was at college doing a few evenings a week to get some money of my own and i haven't left since. Don't get me wrong i'm REALLY thankful i have a job but i can't help feeling like i want more.  I've been looking but there is NOTHING out there that suits me or am i to picky? I've always had different hopes and different career ideas but have never done anything with them because well i don't know where to start. I change my career mind SO much even my parents think what is she gonna do this week!  I just can't help but feel that i want to do a bit of EVERYTHING with my life. Does anyone else feel like this?

I've found the most perfect empty shop in the town centre that i want to buy and turn into an AMAZING cupcake shop and cute cafe, well for starters i'm only twenty, i have NO idea how to run a business and thirdly haven't got HALF as much as i need to buy a shop! ( The shop is still vacant i walk past it most days on the way to work, it's just the right size and it's got white cute windows it's just PERFECT!)

Last week i wanted to go into FASHION and create different items of clothes and open my own small BOUTIQUE! Well as i've found with all my career ambitions i don't have ANY fashion qualifications or experience!

SO this week i want to become a make up artist for telly shows such as Casualty and do all the GORY make up but as my parents kindly remind me i have no beauty qualifications and it's a really HARD industry to get in to.

So these are a few of my high hopes and career ideas over the past few weeks. As you can see they are VERY different from one another. I know i'm still twenty well twenty - one in about three weeks but i feel like most people know what they want to do career wise by now or are studying to get the qualifications they need in order to get their DREAM CAREER! I know i'm pretty set on not going back to University to get a BA Hons in something or other but i'm starting to question will i get anywhere in life without one? I've got my GCSE's and my A Levels but is that enough? SO many questions that no-one can answer i'm DEFIANTLY one of those people who hate not mapping out their future or it not going the right or which direction to go!

All i know is that i want to be in a job that makes me wake up in the morning and not dread the day ahead, i want to be able to wear my own clothes so show my personality as at the moment i'm having to wear a uniform and i HATE it! I have to wear ALL black and i just think dressed in all BLACK is so depressing! I also want to be one of those women who you see in LONDON carrying nice bags and wearing high heels!  I just want to have the PERFECT career!

I am the only one who feels like they need their life MAPPED out in front of them?

OPI glitter nail polish.

So like many of my blog posts I do tend to go on A LOT about nails, nail polishes and nail art and this post is about nothing else but about nail polish! I was brought this OPI polish (£10) last year by my boyfriend when we stayed in a fancy hotel and I think it's about time that I start using it again as CHRISTMAS is coming!! I personally feel that I can't wear sparkly glitter nail polish any other time of year expect in the Christmas months coming! As i was walking through my local town centre last week they were putting up the christmas trees and decorations so i thought its about time i get the glitter out!

I'm a BIG lover of glitter nail polish! I look for certain things in a glitter nail polish firstly the colour, then how glittery is it and lastly how easy do I think it will be to apply as many glitter polishes are very opaque when you put them on your nails and no matter how many coats you put on its never a full glitter coverage! Well this one by OPI ticked all my boxes! It's perfect! It's SUPER glittery and has so many lovely colours in it, it's also very easy to apply and only takes two coats and it gives you a full glitter nail! I can't actually big this nail polish up! Its my first in my OPI collection as there not very easy to get hold of where I live but I'm defiantly going to be investing in plenty more over the coming months before christmas especially the glitter ones! My next one on my list it a gold colour!

I hope the pictures show just how BEAUTIFUL this nail polish is!

Have you got any OPI nail polishes that you can't rave about enough?! If so let me know in the comments!

Hair History

I thought i'd do a slightly different post today. I'm always interested in reading blogs and watching videos on people's hair routine and their hair history. So i thought i'd do a little post about my "hair history" ENJOY!

I wouldn't consider my hair to be in bad condition but it could be better. When i was younger i could have treated my hair ALOT better. So this is my original hair colour. It use to be a light brown and was in perfect condition as my mum always made sure i had it cut a lot more than i do today! When i was younger my hair was always in a bob with a short fringe as it was the in thing at the time... i'm sure!

When i was about erm 8 years old i decided that i wanted to be in charge of my hair! I HATED my hair so short and in a bob and didn't want a short fringe so i decided to grow my hair. I kept my fringe clipped back ALL the time with different clips and sparkly rainbow coloured hair bands! I'm not sure if it's an old tale but i was always told that if you kept your hair clipped back it would grow quicker?! Was anyone else told this? Years and years past and my hair was A LOT longer and i no longer had a fringe it had completely grown in to my hair! ( I'm sorry i have no pictures to insert! All the pictures of me when i was younger are actually photographs and are in the loft) So my hair was about belly button length and it stayed like this until i went to secondary school and i decided to cut it off. Well not off but so it was SHORTER     (Thinking about it now i'm not sure why i actually wanted to cut my hair that short but at the time it was a good idea of mine!)

In secondary school my hair pretty remained at shoulder length and that's when i was introduced to the dreaded straighteners! I went to the hairdressers when i was about 14 and got my hair highlighted for the first time, well a few bits at the front highlighted and the lady straightened my hair and that's where my love for straighteners really started!

My mum got my a cheap-ish pair of straighteners from Argos and from then i straightened my hair EVERY day even when i was doing nothing at home! In fact as much as i don't want to admit my straightening obsession i'd sometimes straighten my hair twice over before going to school to make sure it was poker straight! How bad is that?! I ALWAYS used some sort of heat protection but my hair was very dry and very dead at the ends! So i either straightened or curled my hair everyday for school until i finished school and went to college.

I then went on to college and i was still using heat appliances on my hair but then i decided to start home dying my hair a wide range of different colours to say the least! I mean i never went to eccentric like a blue but i went from blonde to red to dark brown every few weeks! Half way through college i decided to get my hair completely cut off into a bit of a crop i'm not to sure what the right word is called for it but it was a cut that was long at the front and short at the back. Again it was in at the time! I also dyed my hair a light blonde.

So once i finished college i then went on a gap year which really has led me to just staying at work and not really knowing what to do as a career anyway that's a different story. I finally managed to get over my straightener & heat appliances obsession and for the last erm two years i've not been using heat appliances on a daily basis in fact hardly at all well that's a bit of a lie i do straighten my fringe every second day. I now only use heat appliances on "special occasions" I've also tried to be nicer to my hair in terms of washing it. This may sound a bit disgusting but it works for me. I use to wash my hair EVERYDAY which wasn't helping the dryness situation as i was washing out my natural oils so i managed to also kick that habit and now only wash my hair every 3 evenings and use dry shampoo if needed in between washes. I normally keep my hair down for the first two days and on the day of washing stick it up in a top knot as it does need washing by then!

This is pretty much the latest picture of my hair to date, i decided to OMBRE the ends of my hair  blonde over the summer but now the summer has gone before my eyes i'm thinking of dying it a darker colour possibly a brown for the winter.

SORRY that this post was super uber longer! I hope this was interesting for some of you! If anyone has tips on how to grow hair longer quicker if that's even possible, i'll try anything!

Product Review- Barry M Nail Gold Effect Nail Foil

I spotted this new nail polish in Boots the other day and thought it was a must have especially for the Christmas season coming! I wasn't really keeping my hopes up as this is the first nail polish i have seen that offers a nail foil effect from a bottle! I decided to try it out last night and it did give my nails a gold foil effect to my surprise! It's AMAZING! The beauty of it is that i find i get a bit stingy with my nail foils i
only tend to use them on "special occasions " because firstly they are not the cheapest thing, secondly they are a bit of a pain to apply and thirdly you can't reuse them! I think that is three good reasons to go and try this new nail polish if your a lover of nail foils! They also have it in sliver which no doubt i will go back in and purchase!

So this is the finish product and i couldn't be happier with my nails this week. I decided to do a bit of nail art on top to make them a bit more interesting even though the gold nail foil effect really spoke for it's self! I decided to take inspiration ( basically copy ) a nail foil design i have already and do a leopard print effect. It's very very easy and there are PLENTY of YOUTUBE videos out there you can watch if you want to try it!

So not only did i get the gold nail foil effect polish i also picked up this red glitter nail polish by Barry M too. At the moment boots are doing a offer where if you buy two Barry M polishes you get £1 off so i took that offer straight away! I decided to get this red sparkly polish that i will soon be trying out. It looks like it's a lot more glittery then the other glitter polishes i have. I've also got an ELF gold glitter polish which is good for £1.50 but you need to put it on top of another colour because it's very see through on it's own. I also have a OPI glitter polish which is BEAUTIFUL and has all different colour glitter pieces it in. I'm defiantly a glitter lover when it comes to this time of year! I think looking at the picture below i must have been feeling a bit Christmasy when it came to picking the colours out! I guess it's not long now as were nearly into NOVEMBER!! This year has gone SO fast!

Has anyone else tried out the new Barry M nail foil effect?
